When you work from home, you can take breaks whenever you want or need to, you can take 5 and run to the store, run errands, just step away from your desk and enjoy a bit of the day, visit with your husband, wife or kids.
What a wonderful feeling of overall freedom comes from home based work!
It's easier to do your work when you are not stressed out or anxious about deadlines or a boss looking at you to see if you're busy or not; vacation when you schedule it...not when the other 20 people in the office get their vacation request in first; time to rest if you're not feeling particularly well that day; and most of all, just time to breathe.

Here it is ...
No criticizing anything or anyone for any
reason for 24 hours.
Just leave off the judgment, condemnation, that urge to find
fault.
No bad-mouthing your kids, your boss, your coworkers or
employees, your government or people involved in it. No putting
down anything you see on the TV, in the newspaper, on the
internet. No disparaging anything that's going on in your house,
in your community, or your country, or anywhere in the world.
In your LIFE.
Just let it all go for ONE DAY.
As you do this, notice ...
1. Just how OFTEN you are tempted not only to
SEE something to criticize but to actually
open your mouth and say it. (Or write it.)
2. That things don't get any better when you
do that -- and they often get worse. (So what
was the point of doing that? Hmm.)
3. How often the criticism and judgment and
condemnation you're spewing are aimed at YOU.
(You wouldn't want anyone else to talk to you
like that, would you?)
4. That whatever it is that bugged you fades
out of your awareness a lot faster when you
don't glom onto it as if it were a winning
lottery ticket you just found on the street.
(Latching on and criticizing is more like you
just stepped into something nasty out there
and now you can't scrape it off your shoe.)
5. That the world actually keeps turning on
its axis WITHOUT you inoculating it with
fresh doses of the mental poison of criticism.
Now, if you feel like you just have to say SOMETHING or you're
going to explode, then try this:
Say something positive.
Shocking! Some things are just SO awful you can't POSSIBLY do
that, right?
Come on, you're no wimp. Put a little mental muscle into this!
(And that's not about RESISTING. It's more
like gracefully stepping aside and letting
the garbage just flow right by you instead
of INTO you.)
Find something good even if you have to dig for it. Look for a
way to say YES instead of a big, ugly, self-harming NO.
Oh, and while you're at it -- don't let anyone else criticize YOU
during these 24 hours. If someone should try, just give the
perpetrator a big grin and walk away.
(That'll confuse 'em!) Or hit the DELETE key. Or whatever it
takes to let it slide right off and keep yourself from getting
down in the slop with them.
Remember: No wimping out HERE either.
The truth is, that whenever someone else feels the need to bash
you, it is NOT about you. It's just their own "stuff" making them
so uncomfortable that they feel like they have to let it out
somehow.
And if you've been engaging in the same sort
of judgmental thinking -- like, oh, most of
the world's population, I'll bet -- then all
you did was ATTRACT it to yourself.
Which has NOTHING to do with DESERVING it.
You don't. So drop the mental magnet and let that junk go.
(And if you find this takes a bit of practice to get right,
you're not going to CRITICIZE yourself for that either, right?)

See, this is not just some "goody-two-shoes" attitude I'm
encouraging here. It's purely "enlightened self interest." Purely
practical.

There can be loads of distractions around the house like television, chores, kids, spouse, hobbies, visitors, etc. The list is much longer, but I think you get the idea.In order to make money from home, you will have to get focused and remain focused. The best way to do this is through a written goals sheet, calendars, and a regular work schedule. I know. Most people wanting to work from home or make money on the internet don't like the sound of schedules. Schedules! Wadaya mean schedules! I thought I was working for myself. I thought I got away from that sort of thing!
Well, guess again. If you're going to be successful, you have to be disciplined enough to set aside specific time for your business and the daily tasks it requires. But here's the good news. Your schedule is made by you. You can vary and alter it as you feel you need to in order to work around the other aspects of your life. Now there's something you can sink your teeth into! You can make your work schedule to fit the lifestyle you want to have. When the kids are home, spend some time with them. When your husband or wife is home, spend some time with them. If you are going to have visitors, make sure you schedule their visit and don't allow them to just drop in on you anytime.
Keeping your goals in front of you regularly is the best idea too. To prevent discouragement, make S.M.A.R.T. goals. S.M.A.R.T. goals are:
SPECIFIC
MEASURALBLE
ATTAINABLE
REALISTIC
TIMELY
SPECIFIC- A specific goal has a much greater chance of being accomplished than a general goal. To set a specific goal you must answer the six W questions:
*Who: Who is involved?
*What: What do I want to accomplish?
*Where: Identify a location.
*When: Establish a time frame.
*Which: Identify requirements and constraints.
*Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.
MEASURABLE - Establish concrete criteria for measuring progress toward the attainment of each goal you set. When you measure your progress, you stay on track, reach your target dates, and experience the exhilaration of achievement that spurs you on to continued effort required to reach your goal.
To determine if your goal is measurable, ask questions such as......How much? How many? How will I know when it is accomplished?
ATTAINABLE - When you identify goals that are most important to you, you begin to figure out ways you can make them come true. You develop the attitudes, abilities, skills, and financial capacity to reach them. You begin seeing previously overlooked opportunities to bring yourself closer to the achievement of your goals.You can attain most any goal you set when you plan your steps wisely and establish a time frame that allows you to carry out those steps. Goals that may have seemed far away and out of reach eventually move closer and become attainable, not because your goals shrink, but because you grow and expand to match them. When you list your goals you build your self-image. You see yourself as worthy of these goals, and develop the traits and personality that allow you to possess them.
REALISTIC - To be realistic, a goal must represent an objective toward which you are both willing and able to work. A goal can be both high and realistic; you are the only one who can decide just how high your goal should be. But be sure that every goal represents substantial progress. A high goal is frequently easier to reach than a low one because a low goal exerts low motivational force. Some of the hardest jobs you ever accomplished actually seem easy simply because they were a labor of love.
Your goal is probably realistic if you truly believe that it can be accomplished. Additional ways to know if your goal is realistic is to determine if you have accomplished anything similar in the past or ask yourself what conditions would have to exist to accomplish this goal.
TIMELY - A goal should be grounded within a time frame. With no time frame tied to it there's no sense of urgency. If you want to lose 10 lbs, when do you want to lose it by? "Someday" won't work. But if you anchor it within a timeframe, "by May 1st", then you've set your unconscious mind into motion to begin working on the goal.
T can also stand for Tangible - A goal is tangible when you can experience it with one of the senses, that is, taste, touch, smell, sight or hearing. When your goal is tangible you have a better chance of making it specific and measurable and thus attainable.

8.27.08 Being that back-to-school time of year started me thinking about preparation for school being like preparation for a new business. Starting your own home based business and making money on the internet are much like starting your first day of school.When it was time for your first day of school, you probably did not just wake up, get out of bed, put on your slippers, scuff down the street until you came to the nearest school, walked in and chose the first classroom that looked interesting and sat down at a desk. The same principle applies to working from home. Preparation is basic and it's important. The very first part of preparation is thinking. Think and plan what you will need to begin your new venture. Training is important to any business, but is an especially valuable tool for those of us who work from home.Several things are involved in training. Work From Home Have Fun
8.18.08 I can tell this is going to be one of those great days to work from home. Having your own online internet business is certainly work at times, but the ability to use your time the way you see fit is the greatest aspect of home business. It's a beautiful day today and I am going to take advantage of that right after completing a few daily business tasks.My wife and I will do some late summer planting, have some lunch, probably outdoors, and then clean up the boat and go for spin on the lake. Of course it helps to live on a lake. I'll probably spend some of my time today sweeping large amounts of hickory nut shells up from my deck, as the squirrels go crazy at this time of year shredding the nuts up in the tree or knocking them down and then chewing them to bits on my deck. It's raining nuts!
Last evening there was a concert on the lake where we and hundreds of others can gather in our boats around a gazebo on a point and listen to a band. The temperature was perfect, a slight breeze, and a full moon. It couldn't have been nicer.
