Work From Home Have Fun

8.18.08 I can tell this is going to be one of those great days to work from home. Having your own online internet business is certainly work at times, but the ability to use your time the way you see fit is the greatest aspect of home business. It's a beautiful day today and I am going to take advantage of that right after completing a few daily business tasks.

My wife and I will do some late summer planting, have some lunch, probably outdoors, and then clean up the boat and go for spin on the lake. Of course it helps to live on a lake. I'll probably spend some of my time today sweeping large amounts of hickory nut shells up from my deck, as the squirrels go crazy at this time of year shredding the nuts up in the tree or knocking them down and then chewing them to bits on my deck. It's raining nuts!

Last evening there was a concert on the lake where we and hundreds of others can gather in our boats around a gazebo on a point and listen to a band. The temperature was perfect, a slight breeze, and a full moon. It couldn't have been nicer.

Staying Inspired

8.16.08 Sometimes people feel like they are not entitled to good, or that they don't know enough, or that there isn't enough money for everyone to become wealthy. Often when you work for yourself in an internet home business, or some other home based business, you allow yourself to become discouraged in this way. That discouragement can lead to unproductive activity or even no activity.

When you work from home in your own business, it's entirely up to you to lift your thoughts on a daily basis to enable you to continue your work. This is not a difficult task when you find a good support group, or even an individual or website that offers inspirational ideas to help you get going and keep going.

I have found just such a website through a Google search. It is called Success Songs by Paul Hoffman. Here is the essence of a brief article by Paul.

Maturity and Discipline in Working From Home

8.15.08 I recently wrote about the virtues of working from home and being able to take breaks and work when you want to work. Now this may seem like I am saying the opposite, but it really is saying the same thing as before from a different perspective.

Having your own work from business means not only that you can have flexibility to not work if something comes up, but along with that comes the need for responsibility and discipline to know when you absolutely must put aside your personal interests and get your business work completed.

While it's fun to be childlike and play, I find that I am called upon to exhibit a significant amount of maturity regarding my work schedule. There are times when it's necessary to tell family or friends, "no, I'm sorry I can't go with you. I have work that I must do right now." This is particularly true in my internet home business when I have other people who are awaiting my help to get their business on track.

Working From Home

8.12.08 Home based business allows you to have your own input as to whether you work or play, what time you work, how long you work, and other considerations. I love working from home for this very reason. Life is flexible. I prefer to flex with it rather than against it. If something of real importance comes up, I can alter my schedule to accommodate the situation.

But don't misunderstand. When I say work from home I mean work. Many people think it would be great to be their own boss, but don't realize it also takes work to be your own boss. You can't just declare it, you have to actually do it. To maintain your own work from home internet business, you must do the work.

Work From Home Flexibility

8.11.08 Today is a great day to be working from home! It's a beautiful day in late summer and I can stop and enjoy portions of the day that I would miss if I had a regular 9 to 5 job. Because I work at home, I am able to start and stop at times I want to for breaks, lunch, errands, etc.

Find Your Work From Home Mentor

8.9.08--Some people wonder if it is possible to really make money with a work from home internet business. I can tell you for certain that it is indeed possible. Much like any other business, it doesn't happen automatically or overnight. It takes time to learn and to build your home business.

Because of all the email and ads by unscrupulous people, a large portion of work at home newbies get discouraged or quit because they have been led to believe they can make thousands of dollars instantly by simply signing up for a program on the internet. They keep checking their computer every day waiting to see the dollars come shooting out of their computer monitor at them into a giant heap on their desk. When this doesn't happen right away.....or ever, they get discouraged and give up, never even bothering to learn anything about the business they attempt to work!

Before signing up with any online business or work from home business, I suggest investigating the company as much as possible. Try to contact the people who are in the organization. Find out about the support system and mentoring. If someone is going to mentor you, find out what their track record is and how successful they are. It's possible that the person "sponsoring" you is not successful yet, maybe others are available in the organization that you will be dealing with and speaking to regularly with your questions. You need not be discouraged if your sponsor or immediate upline is not yet highly successful as long as you have regular access to those who are.

Be Positive in Your Work From Home

8.8.08 My work from home business continues to grow each day. I gain new leads through free advertising and verify them so that I am able to contact them with my business offers. Of course, I surf some traffic exchanges and send out some solo ads too. With the traffic exchanges I can advertise by web page viewing, text ads, or banners. Working from home allows me to work at my own pace and take a break when I need to for whatever reason I decide to.

I really enjoy the communication aspects of my work from home business. I am able to communicate daily with people in my business in positive ways that helps me and them. I am certain that positive communication is the only way to go if you expect good results in buiness.

8.7.08 Work From Home Blueprint

8.7.08 Today, much like yesterday, I had early morning work to do. Then in late morning and early afternoon, I did pretty much the same things as yesterday with my work from home business. I upload leads for verification, I blast an ad out to billions of websites (yes I said billions) and then I took a some time to write this blog and then I surfed some traffic exchanges to promote my online work from home business for free. Working from home doesn't have to be hard or toilsome, but it does take some time and some dedication. I believe it takes drive, dedication, determination and inspiration to continue on with your online home business, or any business for that matter.

I also take some time to call my leads and let them know I am here to help them build their online home business and to answer any questions they may have.  I may not have all the answers, but I do have a tremendous team of like-minded people that are only a click away for help.

Sometimes I take a few minutes and look over work from home and home business articles listed in Google. Google is a great place to search for ideas for home businesses.

Working from home is fun and rewarding. What's not to love about it?  I get to work from home, stop when I need to, take a break, speak with family, do a quick chore, have a snack. I can do whatever I want to do!  It's my home business!

Work From Home Today

It's another day making money from my desk while I work from home. I had a few chores to take care of in the early morning, and by late morning I was back at my desk doing what I love...internet marketing. Of course, I had the regular business to tend to of gathering my new leads and uploading them to send out verification emails. Verification is important in marketing, because you must make certain that the people you are emailing are really interested in receiving your mail, otherwise you're spamming and won't be in business for very long.

After that, I blasted an ad all over the internet to billions of websites and then later I'm going to do some free advertising through the traffic exchanges. I also will read new email I have received and review any new internet trends or businesses that look like they have promise.
I have several places to attend online training for various aspects of online marketing, and will search for what is available today in the time that I have available to listen. I also am monitoring at least 3 online forums that offer mentoring and help for my work from home business. That is one of the things that I love about my work from home business, that I can get support and contact with real people any time day or night through these forums. Because my business is online and worldwide, there is always someone online to speak to, perhaps in another part of the world from where I am.

I am always amazed at how few people do their homework before going into a work from home business. Some know little about the business they are getting into, especially when it comes to a work from home business. There are so many people trying to work from home on the Internet, yet few realize the workload that goes with business. Getting Organized to Work From Home

Most people would like to start some type of work from home business. But most people don't feel they are able to fit a second job into their time schedules. Extra time for some sort of work from home business can be achieved through good time-management.

First, make a list of your daily schedule. From the beginning of your day to the end, list everything you do each day. If you are like most people, you'll find you have about three hours each day that can be used in a more efficient manner. Plan your work and work your plan.
Before you go to bed, make a list of the things you want to do tomorrow.

Schedule your trips to the market to coincide with the other things you have to do, and with your trips to and from work.

Set aside a specific time to do whatever chores you have to do at home. Don't try to do a week's work all at one time. Just do a part of it, or one particular job each day, and you'll be amazed at your progress.

Take care of all your mail the day you receive it. Answer your letters the same day you get them. Use the same system for email.

To further help get organized, decide what you have to do, and what you want to do. Then, it's just a matter of arranging priorities.
List and plan what you want to do, and then carry out your plans. You'll discover that you'll find plenty of extra time for handling virtually any kind of work from home business. All financially successful people are well organized. They do not waste time.

When organizing your time and your business, always be sure to put aside some time for relaxation. Make time for yourself, some fun, and your family. This step if very important, because if all you do is rush around and work and never have fun or relaxation, you'll quickly tire of the routine.

There is a Way

In order to be successful when you work from home, you must always keep your thoughts focused in a positive way. In one of his weekly articles entitled There's Always a Way, Paul Hoffman offers this affirmation to help us.

How many times have you said to yourself....How am I going to do this?
This is a perennial question to all of us. Where have you gotten stuck in your thinking
and by buying into your stuckness have let opportunity pass you by because of some fear

In reviewing various work from home articles, I ran across this wonderful little piece called Simple Rules for your MLM business, by Lisa Willard. It only takes a moment to read, but it pretty much gives you the basics of how to approach your business. Here is her article.

Did you ever wonder what the secret is to building a successful Network Marketing business? I know I wondered for years. I would attend company events and ask questions of top income earners, just knowing there was some piece missing that was going to be the answer to my success.

Once I begin to look inward, at myself and my actions, I realized that the Holy Grail lies within each of us. We just have to discover it there.

4. Be coachable - great ideas are out there everywhere. Be willing to ask, listen and learn.

5. Attend company functions so you can know the heart and soul of the business, management and the leaders. This will help you develop more quickly.

6. Seek out others who want what you have to share and let go of those who do not.

That is it. Everything else can be done in different ways. You might build through parties, running ads, fundraisers, online, or whatever. You don't have to build in the same way as your upline and sponsor. Find your way and commit to it 100%.

Stay Focused

As owner of your work from home business, you will find many distractions competing for your time, energy and focus.  Common distractions include: children, family, friends, neighbors, pets, phone calls, mail, household chores, television, visitors, and on and on.

As an owner of awork from home business, remember your purpose in bringing your profession home.  What is your reason for wanting to own a home business?  Is your goal to work from home so that you can share in the lives of your children?  Or to be out from under the rule of an unpleasant boss?  Or to have the freedom to work at your own convenience?  Or maybe to make lots of money working for yourself?

To stay focused on your work from home business follow these simple rules:

Keep your reason for starting your own home business in the forefront of your mind. Remember, your own business is a real business.  When it's time to work, it's time to work.  Working for yourself, your salary is proportional to your productivity.  So it only makes sense to stay focused on getting as much done in as little time as possible?

Have a schedule for your work activities, your personal activities, and your family's activities.  Schedule your work and work your schedule.  Make sure you allow the necessary time for personal life.  But don't let your friends and extended family run over you. Some people have the mistaken idea that if you work from home then you are not actually working.  They believe that if you are at home, then you are fair game for chitchat and socialization.  Make certain your friends and family understand when you are working, you are working!  Be firm.  If they wish to socialize, they need to do it during the hours that are not dedicated to your home business.

If you find yourself spending too much time doing non-productive activities, get yourself back on track right away.  Remember your reasons for having your work from home business in the first place.  Review and update your schedule often so that it is current and realistic for your lifestyle and your needs.

Priorities

As a general rule, by looking at company's checkbook and their daily schedule, it is possible to determine the their success. Knowing a company's spending habits and its daily activities, gives a good indication of a company's priorities. Certainly, priorities are one of the best ways to predict future success. The same can be said for your work from home business.

Looking at your own business, what does your check book register look like? Do you invest regularly in your business by budgeting some of your income to advertising, learning about your business, and getting other people involved in your business? Or does most of your money go toward other personal interests?  Also, is your work from home business a part of your daily schedule, or is it a hit and miss proposition, where you spend a few hours one day, then don't do anything for several days, then catch up on your business emails and spend a little more time on your business, then return to other personal interests before spending more quality time on your business. Since you started your work from home business have your priorities significantly changed or are you still doing everything you used to do and trying to find time somewhere to devote to you business?

Your priorities will determine your success.  Most people are unwilling to change their priorities, even when they know that doing so will improve their life.  A recent article from Google estimates that 97% of work from home business owners quit after less than six months. The Dangers of Asbestos Exposure

For months, I have been seeing television commercials regarding the dangers of asbestos exposure so I did some checking to learn more and thought I would share the information with you.

Apparently, for decades, people were being subjected to asbestos exposure without realizing the impact it would have on their lives (it is amazing some of us made it to adulthood with the chipped paint children ate). Asbestos exposure is linked to deadly diseases including mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis. As a result, asbestos related litigation has been one of the largest challenges confronting many law firms. Congress has tried to address asbestos exposure lawsuits for the last several years, but has been unable to reach compromise between opposing sides.

Many have criticized asbestos exposure lawsuits, questioning how people continue to suffer asbestos-related illnesses when asbestos use was largely phased out in the 1970s, but there is a long latency period between asbestos exposure and disease onset in many cases. In addition, the use of asbestos was widespread, affecting a high number of workers and their families unknowingly when they brought the asbestos dust home. I know in many cities the lovely old structures are full of asbestos and my experience with refurbishing old buildings gave me a completely new perspective on city building codes. Several years ago we considered rehabbing an old downtown church and were informed that as long as we did not begin to expose the asbestos by tearing down walls, we were within the guidelines. In other words, asbestos was present but as long as we did not violate the integrity of the original structure, we were within the bounds of the law.

Mesothelioma is a form of lung cancer almost always caused by asbestos exposure. Within a year or so of becoming diagnosed, a patient can die from the incurable disease. The 15 to 50 year latency period from asbestos exposure to onset has meant the number of people that will continue being diagnosed with the illness is expected to rise over the next couple decades. A serious situation that affects many persons.

Proposes increasing fuel economy standards and would require that 25 percent of electricity consumed in the U.S. is derived from clean, sustainable energy sources by 2025. John McCain proposes a national energy strategy that will rely on the technological prowess of American industry and science. Would not support subsidizing every alternative or tariffs that restrict the competition that stimulates innovation and lower cost. Says he would work to reduce carbon emissions 60 percent below 1990 levels by 2050.

When quizzed about possible Energy rebates, Barack: Said during an August 4, 2008, speech that "we should immediately give every working family in America a $1,000 energy rebate, and we should pay for it with part of the record profits that the oil companies are making right now." Which Service Is The Better To Promote? John: Calls for building 45 new nuclear power plants by 2030 with the goal of eventually constructing 100 plants. Believes barriers to nuclear energy are political not technological.
